Cooking class in Bologna: a delicious learning experience
Walking tour, cooking class and tasting in the heart of the Food Valley
Fall in love with the Bologna's most authentic side: the home of mortadella, tortellini and numerous traditional dishes that have become famous around the world, from lasagne al forno to tagliatelle al ragù. A journey into a whole world of flavours. Stroll through the arcades and alleyways of the centre and immerse yourself in the markets and guilds, learning Emilia's food and wine secrets. Join a "sfoglina", a traditional Bolognese pasta maker, in a workshop to try your hand at a local cooking class: combine flour and eggs and arm yourself with a cutting board, rolling pin and cutter to make the perfect fresh pasta, which must be no more than half a millimetre thick. Enjoy a plate of pasta paired with local wine and then head to a delicatessen for a tasting of typical cured meats and cheeses. From creation to cutting, right through to tasting, discover the magic that goes into mortadella, salami, ciccioli and prosciutto, savouring the essence of Emilia.
