Trekking in Calabria between nature and beauty
Guided excursion and lunch to discover the Valle dei Mulini
An area famous for its watermills and the charm of its landscapes. The Valle dei Mulini, in the province of Vibo Valentia, is an area crossed by the waters of the Lao river and embellished with chestnut and oak woods and lush vegetation throughout all seasons of the year. Together with an expert guide, start from Spilinga, a small village on the slopes of Monte Poro, then embark on a gentle trekking route, immersed among rare plants such as strawberry tree, jujube, myrtle, fennel and alder. Walk downhill on an ancient mule track, where you come across the remains of a mill dating back to the 17th century, of evident Arab influence, bearing witness to the past and traditions of the place. Be enchanted by the colors and scents of nature, by the variety of flora and native fauna, embellished with badgers, foxes, weasels, martens and other animal species. Finally, refresh yourself with a well-deserved lunch based on local products, such as dried tomatoes and typical cured meats. An experience capable of satisfying the five senses, in contact with the best of the best of Southern Italy.
